CRC 1671: Home(s): Phenomena, Practices, Representations
About us
More than 60 researchers come together in the CRC 1671 ‘Home(s)’ to investigate and describe how notions of “Heimat” (home, at-homeness, belonging) emerge as central to how we relate to the world. Our aim is thus to analyze the varied dimensions of home / belonging with the help of a heuristic “model theory” that we will apply from a historical and global comparative perspective.
Subprojects
The CRC 1671 is divided into 24 sub-projects: 21 scientific projects conduct research in the three pillars ‘Phenomena’, ‘Practices’ and ‘Representations’ of the CRC 1671, three service projects are responsible for the areas of research (data) infrastructure, public relations and administration.
Activities
The CRC 1671 ‘Home(s)’ lives from and with the interaction with other scientists, political actors and interested citizens.
